Is a Wine Fridge Necessary?
Is a wine fridge necessary?
We get this question a lot, is a wine fridge necessary? Are you someone who may have over 5 bottles of wine in your home at a time? Has someone ever gifted you a bottle that you may want to save for a special occasion? Or you nabbed one on your honeymoon to open on your 1-year anniversary? Then my answer to that is yes!
Refrigerators can often generate an environment that is too cold for a bottle of wine to be stored properly. My favorite type of wine fridge is a dual zone. Dual Zone Wine Fridges can store two types of wine at two different temperatures. Set one compartment at a temperature between 50- and 64-degrees Fahrenheit for red wine and set the other between 45- and 48-degrees Fahrenheit for white wine. Store red wines for up to ten years and white wines for up to three years. A wine fridge would also be your least expensive option for storage in comparison to a cellar or another full-size refrigerator.
Is your wine refrigerator useful for anything other than storing wine?
Yes, for one, BEER! The temperature of beer has a huge effect on the taste. It is recommended to have the perfect beer that you store it at 45 – 60 degrees. So, if you are not a fan of that bland beer you have at home, a wine fridge is your easy fix. Of course, the wine fridge can store other non-alcoholic drinks like bottled water, iced tea, soda, beer, and milk. You just need to know the specific temperature settings needed for each beverage. This would allow so much space to be freed up in your refrigerator making this a great alternative that the whole family could use. Lastly, a good wine fridge does not have to break the bank. In fact, there are small wallet friendly wine fridges available in the market that you can choose from. Aside from it being able to store more than just wine, generally, wine fridges are designed for portability, cost effectiveness, safety, and low maintenance.
